If you use the correct search engine optimization strategy, and use SEO to your advantage, you can get listed on Google, Yahoo and MSN within two days and have the potential, if you do it right, of achieving a top ten listing within two weeks.
How??s that for a statement! You think it??s bullshit? Well stop bitching and try it ?” it is absolutely impossible to fail to get listed in the top search engine indices if you use the correct and logical techniques. Those who fail to do so simply do not understand how to use SEO and are swayed by the ranting of others who read all the forums but never put into practice what I do.
Here are some tips for you, though I have no intention of giving away all of my secrets in one article. I have nothing to worry about from the so-called SEO gurus who have to use PPC adverts to promote their websites. I stopped using PPC over a year ago. So let??s look at some of the ways to design a proper SEO strategy to get you listed on the top search engines quickly.
Firstly, you have to determine what kind of website you want: an expert site or just a sales site. If you decide on the former, you will rapidly achieve a listing on Google and have a good chance of a high listing for the search term for which your home page is optimized. If you decide on a sales minisite, with between one and three pages, then you will not get a high listing quickly, but you can still get listed in two days, or even less. You can still get listed highly with a 2 ?” 4 page website, but you will have to build a few back-links for that.
Consider what a listing on the index of any search engine entails. It requires at least one page of your site to be visited by a search engine, and then any internal links on that site will also be crawled. Usually the first page to be visited by the spiders will be your home page, and that is what you should first of all aim for. Eventually you will want all of your pages crawled and indexed, but, in the meantime, deliberately focus on getting your home page listed on Google, Yahoo and MSN. The rest will follow.
To achieve that you have to design your website so that the home page leads to every other page on the site, but not necessarily directly. In return, each page on your site should lead to your home page. The way that you achieve this is critical to your success, and if you are to succeed in internet marketing through website design, then you should try a variety of alternative ways of doing this. The results will be illuminating and help you to achieve success with any website you design, irrespective of the niche or subject involved.
You then have to make sure that your home page can be accessed by the search engine spiders without you having to register or submit your site to these search engines. If you rely on submission, then it can take several weeks or even months before your website is listed. You can also forget about top 50 listings, let alone top ten.
If you use your intelligence and use the search engine spiders to crawl your site as you want them to, and then show them exactly what you want to show them, then there are few reasons why your site should be not be listed in a high position in the indices for specific search terms (keywords) use by Google customers seeking information that you can provide.
That is the whole purpose of your website, so learn how to do it properly and you will never ever fear a search engine or its little robots ever again. You will be able to manipulate these robots and spiders, and use a search engine optimization strategy to suit your needs any time you want. SEO can be used any way you want. Be Confident!
If you want to get your site listed in 2 days, check out http://www.improved-search-engine-rank.com where you will be shown step by step how Pete??s website reached the top 5 in Google Yahoo and MSN in 2 weeks. SEO is a skill, so learn it and throw away the PPC bills.

I am sure that if you have a dynamic website i.e. a website using a scripting language like php or asp then you will probably have problems with the search engines indexing your web site. I had a website using php and I had serious trouble to get the search engines to index it.
Now the main problem comes in that you usually will have a dynamic page and that page will reference other dynamic pages to represent the information in your database. Usually search engines do not follow other dynamic pages from a dynamic page. Also all your content will look identical as they will have the same title and heading tags with the content from the database being different.
The way to get around this problem is to first design your php code to represent the title and heading tags based on your database. So for example if you have a classified web site the title of the page will become the title of the advertisement and similarly you can make the heading this as well. This will give you unique pages that Google will index better since Google does understand dynamic pages as long as the content is unique.
Now to get around the second problem you would have to design static pages that you link to from your home page. Each static page can represent a category so for example if you have a car classifieds website you can create a different static page representing a different model e.g. Ford cars. Now from this static page you will have to create new code to link to all the detailed pages based on this category. Your detail pages will be dynamic pages based in php or asp.
Finally, ensure that you have a site map as this will make it easier for Google to understand your website properly.

There are some instances when we feel that we are just not getting what we need from the web host that we have. You might have a website that is expanding a bit too quickly, making your current web host provider not able to cope up with the expansion. You might have had a bad experience with the customer support of the company or you just found a better deal with another company. Whatever your reason is, we may find ourselves wanting to switch to another web host. However, when we think about it, we might feel that it would be a pretty cumbersome task. With these simple and easy tips, you would surely be able to change from one host to another effortlessly.
The first thing to do would be to backup everything that you have on your website. Whether you are changing hosts or not, this is very important to do. So that in any unfortunate event, you would be sure that everything you have is backed up in a safe place.
You could then look for your new web host provider that would meet all the requirements that you have for your website. Make sure the one you would be dealing with would be a very reliable company.
After signing up for a new web hosting package, and before uploading everything, make sure that you have the IP number, FTP, as well as your FrontPage login and password that you received from your new host. You could then upload all your files.
Before you go through the process of the transfer of DNS servers, you would have to debug and test the new website first from an individual IP. Make sure that all the web pages are working fine and that there are no broken links and that all scripts are properly running. Also make sure that there are a least three to four weeks before your domain name expires. Do not move very near the expiration date as this could cause loads of problems.
As you transfer your DNS servers, identify the registrar through a WHOis lookup, verify the registration of the domain name, identify the information of the name server of your new host and then make changes on the DNS information. During this transition period of the DNS, the information would still have to be propagated all over the world’s DNS servers. During this period, make sure that you would still have your old site running so visitors that have ISPs which have not updated would still be able to visit your website.
Want to host your website with the perfect webhost who can give good uptime and prompt custom support? Look no further. We highly recommend hosting your sites, forums, CMS and blogs with hostgator web host or bluehost webhost Read the hosting coupons blog posts about web hosting industry, reviews and news about discount web hosting

What do you need to do before you even put pen to paper and start writing a press release?
Although writing a successful press release is pretty straightforward, unless you do it correctly your hard work will be rewarded with the STB technique. That is your press release will be Screwed up into a tiny ball and it will be Thrown into the nearest Bin by the person you sent it to. And whilst the STB technique is seldom discussed I am afraid the vast majority of press releases fall foul to its nasty end. However, yours will not.
So let us start with some things you need to think about and so before writing your press release.
To begin with you need to think about why you are actually writing the release in the first place. Is it to tell the world about something amazing that has happened that you simply have to share with them? Is it to update your customers (or potential customers) with news of a new product or service you have? Or is it to increase business? A wise man (I think it was big chinned Football guru Jimmy Hill) once said “You cannot get to where you are going until you know where you are”. Wise words indeed and words that should be listened to if you want your press release to be acted upon.
The second thing you need to consider is who are you going to send it to? Before you even consider putting pen to paper you have to know who the release is going to be sent to as this will have a vital impact on what you say and how you say it. I mean do you really think Richard Attenborough would have sent the same press release about Jurassic Park to the National History Museum as he would have to a tabloid newspaper? No he most certainly would not have. Instead the headline to one might have been “Tyrannosaurus Rex makes triumphant return in the land of the lost giants” whereas the other headline might have been “Do you think he Dino Saw Us? Mad Professor opens new theme park”. Basically you need to make sure you know where your release will be sent so it can be tailored to that audience.
Please also make your press release interesting and newsworthy to the people you are sending it to. If you dont you know what will happen (see STB above).
The final thing you have to do before writing your press release is to know that the person you are sending it to does not care about you and does not care about your business. All they care about is does what you are writing about interest them and more importantly will it be of interest and useful to their readers, listeners, viewers or site visitors. And whilst this may seem a harsh thing to say it is true. If you don’t believe me send out a press release not taking this into account and watch the results. Oh yes, and listen hard enough and you might hear the STB!
So there you go just a few things you should be doing before writing your press release. And here are a few things you most definitely should not do:
Do not ramble. Journalists dislike press releases that don’t get to the point. If you can get to the point and do not ramble on, your release has a much better chance of being published. If however you are about to sit down and write war and peace then go walk the dog, make a cup of tea or do whatever it takes to get you out of this mindset.
Do not lie. Remember this is not your CV! Keep the contents of your release factual, correct and do not be tempted to tell anything but the truth.
Do not make mistakes. If journalists hate one thing more than rambling its errors, spelling mistakes and releases that are not grammatically correct. With spell check there is no excuse nowadays.
And one final thought, (very Jerry Springer) STBs will no longer be an option for you and your business we will leave them for your competitors. The rage to milk money from Adsense continues into 2008. While there are many different ways to do this, it’s no secret Google is keeping a watchful eye on spam sites which automatically generate pages consistently on a daily basis.
Every now and then, Adsense ‘experts’ would introduce a ‘fresh’ new way of generating pages which Google “has not caught on yet”, be it article, directory or backlink generators.
While these software are very good at what they do, you can’t solely depend on them for long-term success. It’s a natural tendency that automatically generated content just doesn’t look like quality pages with highly informative, up-to-date content, but it’s my personal observation.
Most run-of-the-mill, ads-on-topfold Adsense sites lack substantial sections and deeper structures to be interesting enough to make visitors think they should come back to check them out more often. While generating as many pages as possible is crucial to get them indexed and thereby build substantial presence in search results, these types of pages should only complement principal content that reflects what your site stands for and the selling point it serves to maximize its overall value. There used to be a question that goes, “Is building Adsense sites a business?” My answer is: Adsense is secondary.
Of course, like you I do want Adsense to be my primary source of income. The secret is in emphasizing content and value, not Adsense ads. You may have felt resigned to say, “Does that mean more work?” Not really. Here’s another secret inspired by a quote from Albert Einstein: You can’t solve your Adsense income challenge at the same level of thinking.
Truth is: I have built a good number of Adsense sites, but Internet Mastery Center, which I’m sure you have loved enough to come back, earns more than some of them despite our intention not to make it Adsense-focused, all the more so when it has absolutely nothing to do with high-paying keywords and the tremendous amount of time that goes into keyword research…which leads to the next secret: create a site with a subject or niche you know you can continually express and expand on instead of getting stuck with a ‘lucrative’ keyword you may run out of ideas on in the long term.
This is as good as saying Adsense is not just a keyword value game; it is still the classic “How do I get and retain traffic” game, and traffic is not some scoreline, but real people with genuine interest.
eHow.com is an incredible example. It’s a free site that shows people how to do a lot of different things. The best way to explain the site is just for you to go have a quick look now. They have hundreds, possibly thousands of pages of content on all sorts of subjects and the way they get traffic to their site is through the search engines.
Every page on the site has an Adsense box on it and that’s how it makes money. They also have a Alexa traffic ranking of around 2000 which is great.
Of course, it doesn’t make sense to write or purchase that much content by yourself. eHow.com succeeds in getting its visitors involved in content contribution. There’s also a wikiHow to get contributors involved in constant update of a common topic or article.
For a start, here are suggestions on the type of sections you can integrate into a site:
1) Lead capture page with freebies or incentives.
2) Article directory.
3) A ‘Contact Us’ page.
4) An ‘About Us’ page.
5) Forum: The challenge lies in the time and effort needed to build up momentum to encourage forum participants to write in.
6) An archive section of some kind, for selected articles for example.
7) Blog/podcast pages.
8) Reciprocal link directory.
9) Sitemap.
It doesn’t take much to think of these standard sections. Even a products section makes your site look good besides providing another source of income, and then you replicate these sections site after site, niche after niche.
4th secret: Only sites with a general theme can afford to be massive-looking. Examples: Entrepreneur.com and Dogomania.com. Then you break the theme down into specifics like gathering them under an umbrella: dog training, dog hygiene, dog naming, dog psychology, doggy habits etc. Accurate targeting of Adsense ads depends on specific subjects as reflected on page. One thing to note is it is better that specific sections are inter-linked in some ways. If you run a site on everything about cancer, because “colon cancer” and “breast cancer” are not intrinsically related, visitors interested in one section may not want to take a first glance at another.
5th secret about content: write from a ‘consumer’ perspective instead of the ‘opportunist’ or “how to make money” perspective. What is it your visitors are looking to buy? Ads normally target and appeal directly to consumers. It’s pointless to put up content about how to make money with car accessories when there are hardly ads on “how to make money”. Stick to introducing car accessories and let the ads do the selling. If an accessory or equipment catch visitors’ attention and they click on the ads, you got Adsense dollars.
That’s about all the ideas I have at this moment. You should be confident now and maybe have some more new ideas I haven’t thought of. For sure, Adsense is a major income source you should seriously explore and make it big if you haven’t done so. This is one of those money machines that will make you money-on-demand pretty much for the life of Google.

Perhaps you’re thinking about taking your business online. Maybe you’ve already launched a website, but you’re not getting the amount of traffic you’d hoped for. You don’t want to spend a fortune on internet marketing, but you need to attract visitors to your site, so you can start making sales. How do you quickly build a flow of traffic, so your website can start making you money?
Pay per click marketing is one of the best ways to quickly drive traffic to your website. You’ve probably heard that pay per click advertising can be very expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. If you know how pay per click marketing works, you can take a few simple steps to create ads that will attract readers without emptying your wallet.
In case you’re not familiar with pay per click advertising, here’s how it works. You bid on words and phrases, called “keywords”, that you believe people will use to search for the products or services you offer. Then, you write short ads to entice people to visit your website. When a person enters your keywords in a search engine, your ad will display in the search engine listings. The higher your bid compared to other bids for the same keywords, the more likely your ad will appear on the first page of the search results.
With pay per click advertising, you do not pay each time your ad is shown, like you would with banner ads or other pay per impression marketing. Instead, you only pay when someone clicks on your ad and visits your website.
Google and MSN both offer pay per click advertising. You can easily sign up for either pay per click program - setting up an account only takes about 5 minutes!
The best way to save money on pay per click advertising, and get the most out of your marketing dollars, is to carefully research your keywords before you set up your marketing campaign. New internet marketers often choose common, obvious keywords, not realizing that many other marketers are bidding on the same keywords. By researching less obvious keywords, you can avoid a lot of the competition that can drive up the price you pay per click.
Let’s look at an example, to see this principle in action.
John decides he wants to sell shoes online. He designs and launches a website, and begins to build his pay per click marketing campaign. He decides that he will bid on the keywords “shoes”, “boots”, and “sandals”. Because several hundred other marketers are using the same keywords, John has to place a maximum bid of $5.00 per click to get his ad on the first page of results. After running his pay per click campaign for two weeks, he has driven 300 visitors to his website, and sold $1,000 worth of shoes. However, at $5.00 per click, he has spent $1500 on pay per click marketing. Although he has gained traffic, he has lost $500 in the process.
Mike also decides he wants to sell shoes online. Like John, he sets up a website, and begins building his pay per click campaign to quickly build traffic. But unlike John, Mike decides that common keywords like “shoes” and “boots” are too competitive to build a profitable campaign.
Instead, he researches other keywords, and discovers that people also frequently search for “red women’s heels”, “waterproof hiking boots”, and “lightweight athletic sandals.” He also finds that because there is little competition for these keywords, he can make his ads appear on the first page of search results with a maximum bid of fifteen cents per click.
Mike launches his campaign using these three keywords. After two weeks, he has also received 300 visitors, and has sold $1,000 in shoes. However, unlike John, Mike has only spent $45 on pay per click marketing. He has gained $955 in revenue from his marketing efforts.
Of course, the example above greatly exaggerates the simplicity of selecting cheap, effective keywords. However, with a little research and patience, you can find keywords that will bring you traffic without costing you a fortune.
So how do you find lesser known keywords? Stop thinking like a marketer and start thinking like a customer. If you were looking for a new pair of shoes online, what would you type in a search engine? Chances are, you would not just search for “shoes” or “boots”, because that would give you too many irrelevant results. Instead, you would probably be looking for a certain kind of shoes or boots.
By thinking about how you would phrase your search if you were a potential customer, you can come up with better keywords. In reality, you will not only pay less per click, you will probably turn more visitors into buyers. This is because when you use specific keywords, people that click on your ad find exactly what they are looking for!
Another good way to find cheap, effective keywords for your pay per click campaigns is to browse catalogs or website content used by your competitors. Many marketers use descriptive text in catalogs, print ads, and website content, but fail to use the same care when building pay per click campaigns.
You can capitalize on the weakness in your own pay per click campaigns. Try out the words and phrases that catch your eye. You’ll probably find several that have low bid costs. Use these as your keywords, and you will quickly drive a steady stream of cheap, targeted traffic to your website.
As you can see, you don’t have to pay a lot for your pay per click marketing campaigns. Let your competitors fight over the common keywords. They’ll just end up running themselves out of business by paying top dollar for ad clicks.
Meanwhile, by doing a little research and using your imagination, you will have built a pay per click campaign that is both effective and profitable. It takes a little more time than choosing obvious keywords, but the results will be well worth it!

Is your service or product lacking a differentiation approach? Or worse, have you positioned your company without determining how and why your customers use your service or product? Are you losing market share?
Positioning is the strategy used to differentiate your product or service against competitors; to position how potential buyers view your product as unique. The concept was made popular in 1969 by Al Ries and Jack Trout with their first book, “Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind”. According to Ries and Trout, ??Positioning is what you do to the mind of the prospect.?
Positioning, branding and the unique selling proposition (USP) are on-going disciplines within your business that must be constantly reviewed on a per segment basis. Every service or product has a life cycle and your market segments develop over time. Positioning enables your company to differentiate its product or service in the mind of the consumer though vast channels of communication; make sure you are correctly meeting the needs of your target market. Be thoughtful on what drives each of your market segments and be sure to target your message accordingly.
Too often, a company will seek to position itself in the marketplace with little knowledge of how or why a customer uses or perceives the company??s product. The strategy becomes a company driven message as opposed to customer driven. With a first-to-the-market product or service, your company may thrive with an unstructured positioning strategy. But, as the market develops, competition inevitably draws market share from companies with a weak position. A structured positioning strategy enables your company to command a higher price, build brand loyalty, and create brand evangelists.
To remain customer driven, keep in mind the following attributes that lay the groundwork for your position and unique selling proposition:
Important:
Does your product promise a benefit? What are the highly valued benefits to your customers? Is this a benefit that only your product offers? Is your product or service ??nice to have? or a ??must-have? item?
Distinctive:
How is your product distinctive in the customer??s mind?
Superior:
Will your customer see your product as better than the competition? If so, how and why? How is your product uniquely different from the competition? Is your marketing message truly different from the competition? Is the position believable to the target market?
Affordable:
How do your price point(s) compare to the competition?
Positioning cannot serve solely as a marketing message within advertisements; your company must live the strategy. This means that everyone, from the customer service representative to the CEO, must have a clear vision of why the company??s product or service is superior to the competition; in terms of what the customer values as a superior attribute. Once you determine the attributes that convert customers, you must guarantee these key features to the target market and nail the features every time. You cannot simply state that your company offers 24 hour turnaround and low pricing within your advertisements, you need to guarantee it by always meeting the customer??s expectations. A real, deliverable guarantee will communicate a believable marketing message and in most cases, distinguish you from your competitors.

Keyword of a website plays the significant role in search engine ranking of that site or you can say that traffic gaining chances of that site. Thus before optimizing a site SEO experts use to waste lots of time for proper keyword research.
Lots of fresh website holders trying to save their fund as because they have already waste their fund due to choose hosting plan and designing their website. Thus they have a natural tendency to save the fund and think that they can do the SEO work for promoting their site. They thought SEO analysis and keyword research is too easy job and which can be achieved by the help of several free keyword research tools and keywords can be generated by free keyword generator tools.
But all these free tools can only provide you an estimated scenario about list of search able keywords and nothing more than that. The genuine keyword analysis can do only by human being who can analyze the whole thing (i.e. website condition, age of that site, easy ranking possibilities, market catching chances etc.) in a confident manner.
Keyword research tools or a layman can only built the ground work structure but expertise keyword research work is some thing different which is really essential for any kind of website. Expert keyword research is the foundation of any kind of successful SEO work and that determines the business growth of that website.
For proficient keyword research these following three factors are really important to bring traffic at your site.
Keyword length
Some times the keyword length matters for ranking because it is viewed in a recent SEO review that people used unnecessarily long key phrases to get ranked. This is happened due to either fake SEO peoples cheat their clients or it is done by some layman who wants to protect their fund and does not have any proper SEO knowledge.
By popular white hat SEO Services, it is advised that select your keyword which has a combination of 2-4 words. In this world there are several exceptions but it is reviewed that this type of key phrases gives 100 per-cent results for any kind of sites. In Ethical SEO tips, you do not need any over flow at your key phrases when you are selecting keywords for a site.
Search volume per day
Why keywords are so important when selecting them? Because when they are optimized and ranked, they will provide you enormous visitors at your website in a daily manner. This daily visits are typically called search volume for that particular keyword.
It is easily assumable that several keywords have several kinds of search volumes. It is generally advised that to select those keywords which have medium search volumes. Because low search volume gained keywords which may be too lengthy does not much effective for any kind of small business. Too much high search volume gained keywords is also not effective for any kind of small business because those keywords are defining the total business market and quite different from original searches what is done by net surfers.
Thus it is recommended that select medium search volume gained keywords for promoting any website into its market area. These keywords will be more beneficial for clients when they will shine at the top of any search engines result.
Competitiveness of keywords
In proper keyword research competitiveness of several keywords is also a correlated term like search volume and you need to calculate properly as well. It is very important to balancing between chosen key phrases which will produce maximum web traffic and the unique competition of particular key phrases.
It is viewed that several keywords may have same search volume but they face different kind of competition into their same targeted market. You need to pickup near about same search volume gained less competitive key phrases to promote your site. This kind of less competitive key phrases with medium search volume will help you to quickly rise into search result pages.
